Honey Meadow Retreat in North Devon is just perfect for couples looking for a beautiful, relaxed wedding venue offering rustic romance, exclusive hire packages and set in a gorgeous countryside location with a bohemian-style wedding vibe. What's more, John and Harriet the lovely owners of this super-special wedding venue, take a pride in ensuring this sustainable business is managed to the lowest carbon footprint and vegan weddings are offered.

Harriet has over 40 years experience in hospitality and weddings. Best of all she has a knack of getting to the heart of what each couple is looking for and delivering exactly that and more. Harriet is also an accomplished chef and she'll work with you to create your wedding day menu. Anything is possible from a wood fired extravaganza, hog roast with all the trimmings, antipasti table or your choice of a 2/3 course wedding breakfast.

John grows all the flowers for your use on your wedding day and is happy to include any special requests which will grow especially for your wedding. To make complete the floral picture, Kerry, the in house florist will meet with you to talk through the floral options for your wedding day including venue decor, bouquets, table flowers, buttonholes, bridesmaids posies and anything else you may be considering and take care of all your requirements for your wedding day flowers.

Snuggled between Torridge and Taw Valleys, Honey Meadow Retreat offers perfect Devon countryside vistas at every turn. You'll have use of the wedding and banqueting barn as well as a range of accommodation on site. For smaller weddings, the beautiful courtyard provides a perfect spot for your intimate wedding ceremony. On site there is accommodation for up to 50 including cosy cottages and a range of glamping options, including a beautiful new gypsy caravan (just perfect for your wedding night!), bells tents, a safari tent and shepherd's hut for further guests. Comprising 4 acres of beautiful gardens and fields, Honey Meadow Retreat offers total privacy and a range of thoughtful extras to keep guests of all ages entertained throughout your wedding stay, including a trampoline, tennis courts and croquet lawn.

Every wedding is totally unique, bespoke to each couples' wishes which Harriet and the in house team (including catering and a Horse Box Bar!) take care of from start to finish, going the extra mile every time to ensure your wedding day is as relaxed, jaw-droopingly beautiful and fun as you imagined.

Honey Meadow Retreat is available for relaxed and beautiful weddings for 2 -75 people. Groups of 25 plus are welcome from April to October, with smaller weddings possible year round. As well as being determined to run an eco-conscious wedding venue, owner Harriet is equally determines to keep prices low and the quality of your experience high. Our wedding at Honey Meadow Retreat was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The hosts pulled out all the stops and went above and beyond to give us everything we asked for, and were full of ideas for what we could do. The food was beautifully prepared using local farmers and providers. Dietary requirements were all met without any problems. The reception by the oak tree was magical. Everything was perfectly organised and timed. The location was absolutely perfect and being surrounded by its own holiday cottages and glamping meant many of our guests could stay on site. We really couldn't have asked for anything more and would recommend Honey Meadow Retreat as a wedding venue to everyone.

Wow! What can I say?! From start to finish our weekend was amazing. Harriet and her team were on hand and so attentive. The grounds are stunning, wild flowers, rose garden, the stunning views across the countryside. The cottages are lovely and we opted for glampiing. I couldn't get enough of teh wood fired bath under the stars (truly inspired!) Our guests liked every minute of our wedding and said it was the best they had ever been to.

Harriet helped to bring our dreams alive and took all the stress away whilst in the planning stages. She is a great chef and the food was first class.

We had a micro wedding , 7 people. It was wonderful. Harriet did us the most amazing breakfast before leaving for the church. When we arrived back we had canapés and Pimms in the courtyard, followed by a three course wedding breakfast in the library. (Her panacotta is the best I've ever has!) followed by a game of croquet.

We had the wood-fired extravaganza the following day. It was the most special memorable few days it was every thing we asked for and more. Harriet and John really go over and above, they really understood who we were and what wanted it was just perfect.

What are the fees and what’s included?

Exclusive hire wedding stays can be arranged throughout the year at Honey Meadow Retreat for elopements just for 2 through to weddings for up to 75 people. You have a choice of an indoor wedding ceremony in the barn or you could choose to get married in the nearby local church, or in the stunning grounds with the Devon hills as a backdrop. The courtyard provides a beautiful place for smaller wedding ceremonies. Your celebration meal, can also be held indoors in the banqueting barn or in beautiful garden.

Exclusive hire is available all year round and offered on a first come, first served basis. Included in this all inclusive price is:

Exclusive hire for 3 nights and 2 days
Expert wedding planning from start to finish including recommendations for you music
Use of everything in the house
Your wedding ceremony can be held on site or in one of the beautiful local churches
Your wedding reception can be held in the barn and grounds
Use of a pitched marquee on site
Use of the Horse Box Bar ( drinks are chargeable)
Campfires and dancing til dawn - there is no curfew
Dietary requirements can be accommodated
Dogs welcome - dog chaperone service available too
Accommodation is £60 per head per night - request a quote based on the size of your proposed wedding party and Harriet will provide you with full cost details
