A Runaway Castle Elopement Wedding

A very special castle wedding venue and elopement package
Getting married is amazing. It's a huge commitment and declaration of undying love. It's a day for your two and one that should be very much about the two of you. At Petite Weddings we specialise in creating unique wedding days for couples looking for intimate, yet very special wedding days littered with their own personal touches and surrounded by their closest friends and family in amazing locations.
Annie and Mark recently had their own very special wedding day. We started arranging their wedding day 12 months ago when they got in touch to find out more about intimates weddings, small wedding venues and elopement packages. We're delighted to be able to share some of the details of their beautiful wedding day and stay here.
Pengersick Castle – the perfect castle wedding venue for small groups
We created a Petite Wedding elopement package for them with a castle wedding venue, Pengersick Castle for their ceremony and toast drinks. This unique small wedding venue is a tiny Tudor castle set in its own private gardens, just five minutes walk from the beach at Praa Sands where Annie and Mark and their guests enjoyed some photography after their ceremony. It’s ideal for wedding parties of 35 and less and offers winter weddings by roaring log fires and summer wedding in the gorgeous gardens.
Wedding accommodation and celebration meal
The couple and the core of their group stayed at nearby Godolphin House, a beautiful period property sleeping 12 owned by the National Trust. They have facilities to offer dinning for up to 20 guests, which was perfect for the size that Annie and Mark’s elopement grew to! As you can see from the beautiful images, Godolphin House and Pengersick Castle offer a truly magical combined package in terms of style and quality. Small does not mean compromise.
We booked a wonderful team for the couple on their wedding day including Phoebe of Piccolo Weddings for wedding day co-ordination, Emma of Griffin Photography for wedding day photography (seen here), canapés and a three course wedding meal and cake by Indulgence Catering, flowers by Jen at Twigs and Greens and Classic Strings provided a string quartet for the ceremony and toast drinks at the castle.
The great thing about this team is that we all regularly work together to create bespoke, intimate wedding days. We all understand what it is that each couple wants and we work together as a team to delivery just that. We all thoroughly enjoy every wedding day. This is something that people say sets our weddings aside.
The photographs speak for themselves – a truly unique and beautiful Petite Wedding. Huge congratulations Annie and Mark – you did it your way!
