Introducing Rockpool Weddings

Boho Beach Weddings

There are many beautiful wedding venues to choose from and the choice can seem overwhelming. We work with couples considering the conundrum of practicalities like budget, size of venue, location of venue and facilities available at the venue against their unique vision of their dream day. Squaring this dilemma is not always easy. But we think we may have found a beach wedding venue that perhaps provides the answer.

For lots of our couples a beachside wedding really appeals. This is often because the seaside holds many happy memories for them reaching back to childhood or perhaps shared holidays during their relationship of time spent in this special place where land meets sea. Some of our couples live by the sea and others make the pilgrimage to the sea to get married from across the UK, and indeed as far away at Australia, USA and UAE.

There’s no more romantic, relaxed and fun way to get married than by the sea. The beautiful surroundings offered by a beach wedding venue are more than a backdrop that a stunning building might provide: the seaside provides a living, breathing environment to enjoy and enhance your wedding day experience. Yes, your wedding photography will look amazing, but more than this you can take a paddle in the sea with your guests after your ceremony, you can play cricket on the beach, you can climb the sand dunes and breathe in that special air only found on our coast and watch the sunset into the sea at the end of your wedding day. Unique memories that will stay with you longer than you Instagram Account.

The trouble is that sometimes you pay a real premium for a beach wedding venue. If this sounds all too familiar we think we have found the perfect option for you.

A Romantic Beach Wedding at The Rockpool

The Rockpool Bar nestled in the sand dunes at Godrevy Towans and offers its sea-facing private function room with cash bar facilities, lawn and marquee for wedding hire. You have the room for the full day and a late license to 2am, meaning you can have your legal wedding ceremony, wedding meal and evening reception all in one place.

What’s more, new general manager and chef Ryan Venning has developed a fabulous new array of wedding day food options from canapés to enjoy with your toast drinks, sumptuous three course meals incorporating the best local seasonal produce through to a relaxed gourmet BBQ, afternoon tea and evening food options. Add to this a drinks package starting from £20 a head - all you have to do is choose!

What might my Rockpool Wedding day look like?

Rockpool weddings are relaxed, stress free and fun-filled days. This starts way before your wedding day. Ahead of your wedding you’ll work with our wedding day co-ordinator, Phoebe of Piccolo Weddings who will do everything from style your room ahead of your ceremony, put your wedding-day timeline together for you, ensure all suppliers are fully briefed and ensure everything goes to plan on your wedding day.

On your wedding day you get ready at your chosen accommodation and one of our stylists will come to you to help you create your wedding-day look. We can arrange transport for you to make the short journey to The Rockpool or you may prefer someone in your wedding party to drive you. You arrive at The Rockpool about 30 minutes before your wedding ceremony is due to start.

Your guests will arrive and we’ll meet and greet them and serve welcome drinks. The Cornwall registrars will conduct your wedding ceremony - this can either be in the private hire room or with your guests sat outside and with the two of you in the large doorway facing the sea.

After your ceremony you can enjoy a toast drink with your guests outside and then maybe some beach photography and dip your toes in the sea.

Whilst you are off enjoying the pleasures the beach has to offer we’ll be getting everything ready for your wedding meal. On your return you and your guests will take a seat and enjoy whatever meal you have chosen from the fabulous range of options available. After your meal and speeches we can serve tea and coffee and get the venue ready for your evening celebrations. You can use the in-house sound system and have a play list playing or you can hire a DJ or band.

What’s this all going to cost?

It's a fair question and one that we are confident we can answer. On an all inclusive package for a group of 25 you'd be looking at around £4000, for a group of 40, around £5250, for 80 around £8000. When the average wedding in the UK costs over £30,000 these prices offer amazing value.

Take a look at more images and some of our package examples on our website page here. Or contact jane@petiteweddings.co.uk for a bespoke quotation or to find out availability. We’d love to hear from you!
