Real Wedding - A Stunning Autumn Elopement Idea
Updated: Mar 11
When Mark and Jennifer first got in touch, 12 months ago, we arranged a phone call discussing their vision for their wedding day. They had strong ideas including understated elegance, luxurious surroundings and most importantly their beautiful little dog George must be welcome at their wedding venue. After all, he was to be the best man!And you can see why.... Looking back on what the couple set out to create, and seeing these lovely images of their special day, I think they pulled it off perfectly!
There are many wonderful things about Pengersick Castle, and it's just perfect for a romantic elopement wedding venue as your hire is on an exclusive basis, meaning you are afforded total privacy for your wedding ceremony, toast drinks and photography. Some couples have a first dance and cut their cake here too, others have a picnic on the lawn or a meal served in the castle. Furthermore, the gardens are exquisite and your are just 5 minutes walk from the beach down a sweet little foot path if you fancy some beach photography or maybe even a dip in the sea after your ceremony. What's more every wedding is coordinated by Phoebe of Piccolo Weddings, meaning that you can relax and enjoy every aspect of the run up to your wedding and the day itself knowing that you are in safe hands.
Each wedding we arrange at this tiny wedding venue is unique. We worked with the couple to arrange a complete wedding day package including:
- A beautiful vintage Austin Regent and chauffeur from Celebration Cars to take them from their luxury hideaway for two to their wedding ceremony at Pengersick Castle. Not all wedding cars are dog friendly, but Celebration Cars are happy to take dogs as part of the wedding party.
- Bridal bouquet, buttonhole, hair flowers and ceremony room flowers by the super talented Lisa at Down by the River Florals Jennifer's hair set off the beautiful autumnal reds and oranges she chose as a colour palette for the flowers.
- Photography was provided by wonderful Emma of Griffin Photography. Emma has the advantage that she know Pengersick well, having shot many beautiful weddings at this tiny castle wedding venue in the past, and she loves dogs! So as well as having lots of great shots of Jennifer and Mark, you can see George is in his element too.
- Last but not least, a wedding meal was provided by private chefs, Rebecca and Robin of Indulgence Catering.
Pengersick Castle offers a truly unique place to have our wedding, and what's more it's surprisingly affordable. With exclusive wedding hire for 4 hours and wedding planning starting from £750 a dream castle wedding may be closer than you think! To see more take a look here.
