The Best UK Elopements

The best elopement weddings UK

The magic and romance of an elopement wedding, just you two and maybe a couple of witnesses should not be under-estimated. In fact, we’d argue that an elopement can be far more romantic, meaningful and personal than any other type of wedding. It can also be more relaxed, fun and, let’s be practical, cost less than a larger wedding ceremony and celebration.

Before choosing your elopement wedding venue …

There are numerous elopement options available, but not all of them deliver in terms of that extra special, personal feel nor do they deliver the “wow” factor.

Beware of elopement venues that hold more than one elopement per day – there’s nothing romantic about feeling like you are on a conveyer belt on your wedding day. Look out for venues promising you a “package”, unlike Petite Weddings many venues are super-strict about what you have on your wedding day including your choice of flowers, meal, accommodation and even the time of your ceremony.

Equally, if you’re looking at venues that don’t offer a package then we recommend you take a look at what’s available locally before booking. Some wedding suppliers won’t do small orders i.e. they may have a minimum spend hat’s more in line with larger wedding budgets e.g. minimum of £750 on flowers or £1000 on photography. Some venues (and suppliers) are picky about the time of year that they will offer elopements meaning you maybe shoe-horned into having your elopement wedding at a time of year that wasn’t really what you had in mind.

Petite Weddings elopements

By choosing a Petite Weddings elopement you will benefit from our high standards designed to deliver you the very best elopement experience.

· Our venues never have more than one wedding ceremony a day, in fact it’s more often less than 2 per week so that each couple gets full and undivided attention and everything is fully relaxed.

· We work with each couple to establish the service they wish to add to their wedding day, understanding their style and budget to build a bespoke package of additional services that’s just right for them.

· We work with a group of handpicked local suppliers who love small weddings and understand that when it’s just the two of you that you will not necessarily want to spend thousands with them on your additional services. They provide their first class services in bite sized chunks that are perfect for elopements.

· We offer elopement weddings all year round, and many of our options are cheaper in the low season months, offering excellent value for money.

· We only work with small wedding venues and suppliers that understand and embrace our values of intimate, relaxed and fun small weddings.

Exclusive elopement weddings – Fallen Angel and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens

Here’s an example of one of our exclusive elopement wedding packages that combines a stay for 2 in decadent luxury and total privacy at Fallen Angel in Mousehole, Cornwall with your wedding ceremony at the magical sculpture gardens at Tremenheere.

Start building your package by deciding how many nights you’d like to escape to Fallen Angel for. The property was designed and build by the owners to create the ultimate romantic getaway for two in the UK. It offers you every luxury including the huge tin bath with beautiful views, sits in its own sub-tropical zen garden with a firepit and BBQ, original artwork, full equipped kitchen and wood burner and underfloor heating as well as stunning views across Mount Bay. Tucked away on a quiet corner of Mousehole, once you shut the large Morrocan gate you are a million miles from everything, yet only meters from the vibrant and eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and delis this beautiful little village has to offer.

Your wedding day will be held during your stay with your ceremony at the award winning Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. Again, these gardens are sub-tropical and have a wonderfully far away feel to them. You can choose between the secluded garden pagoda that feels like you are in the tree tops looking out over Mounts Bay, or the Skyspace portico. If the weather is wet then the art gallery with huge windows looking out to Mounts Bay can be used or the Skyspace Portico.

The vibe is relaxed, luxurious and natural.

Your elopement wedding day

Imagine starting you day with a local produce breakfast hamper provided to Fallen Angel. Your bridal hair and make-up artist will come to Fallen Angel to get you ready for your wedding ceremony and your flowers will be deliver to you during the morning too. Once ready you can choose to drive yourselves or take a car to close-by Tremenheere, just 10 minutes away where you’ll meet your registrars ahead of your wedding ceremony.

Make your way to the garden pagoda though the woods or by car should you prefer, separately or together to take your vows. If you have not bought your own witnesses then we will gladly provide these for you.

It’s a beautiful place to enjoy a toast drink and photography in these stunning sub-tropical gardens which offer so many wonderful photo opportunities. Some couples also add a luxury picnic hamper to enjoy in the gardens.

Alternatively, after your photography at Tremenheere you can pop down to the beach at Marazion for some beach photography. A popular stop off on the way back to Fallen Angel is The Rockpool Café, Mousehole. This quirky little beach café offers everything from afternoon tea, to cocktails and nibbles with a front row position overlooking the sea. There’s even a little private beach hut that you can reserve for up to 4 people.

A wedding experience at Fallen Angel is often topped-off with a private chef three course meal and naked wedding cake for 2-4 people.

We can also arrange lots more including videography, a beach blessing to follow your legal ceremony, paddle boarding and surfing, manicure/pedicure and massages at Fallen Angel and much more. Every package we put together for each couple we work with is totally bespoke, bringing our couples’ thoughts and ideas to life in a totally stress-free and magical way.
